Miss Smith is a teacher. She is English and
she lives in Maidstone. But her parents live in a quite small town in France.
She loves her parents and she often goes to see them on weekends.
She has to leaves her parents’ house very early
on Monday morning. She usually gets up at 3: 30 a.m, and walks to the small
railway station of the town to catch a train. It is more than 50 miles from the
town to Boulogne. Then she gets to Folkestone by sea. After that, she catches
the station to Maidstone. She usually takes a taxi to her office. It is about
9:00 when she is in her office. It is very hard to get up so early, especially
in winter. “ It is a long journey and I feel tired,” Miss Smith says, “ but I
